the reception

Because of the rain we didn't have much time to set up the reception before we went to the temple. When Eric and I got to his house from being at the temple, the backyard was set up just how I pictured. I'm positive my mom was the main master mind but I have no idea who helped or how they got everything set up so quickly. Miracle workers I tell you!
My mom and I were our own wedding planners. And boy did we have a blast. We made all the decorations, the table runners, we went to the DI everyday in search of old furniture that we could refurbish, and my mom made the food. She's amazing. I'm thinking we should maybe start a business? We'll call it Mother-Daughter wedding events :)

We had a blast at our reception. I think and hope everyone else did too because it lasted longer than planned! But we didn't mind one bit. We're very grateful for all our family and friends who helped us plan and put together a wedding in 3 months. We're also grateful for Shannon and that she was able to capture our wedding so that we'll remember it forever!

{p.s. I found out yesterday that Natalie, who owns Swoon {vintage rental co} (who is also Shannon's sister), was featured in a Southern Utah magazine called 'Elan and since we rented some of her furniture they used pictures from our reception in the article! Thought that was pretty neat!}

  2. So glad to see some pics! I keep telling all my friends how beautiful the reception was and how amazing you and your mom are. You totally deserved to be featured in a magazine. Loved everything about it- the colors, the vintage furnishings, the refreshments, the flowers and decor... Now I can send everyone to your blog and they can all see how talented my sissy-in-law is!! Love you guys.
